Rockport Beach - Aransas, TX Fishing Report on 11th Feb, 2024

Today was a bit of a grind only because it felt like we kept wearing the schools out so it was pick 10 here pick 10 there type of day. Bounced around about 3x but got it done. With the higher tide we went scouting way into the deep pockets of the back lakes. Shrimp was the ticket. We was done with a 5 man limit of drum a little after noon. We fished till 2pm looking for our 25th drum and turns out I had 25 drum a hour before and didn't even know it 😂. No wonder the bite shut down on us and it was like welp I can't help you on the last one and I tapped out lol. #limits today. Had a solid crowd jump on a shared trip that was $250 a person until we got 3 and the price drops to $200 and I provide everything. The men had a sense of humor and Julio Stephanie Reyes over here messing with me 😂. Starts the trip off grabbing my rod upside down handle up 😂. I'm like you better be joking 😂😂! Anyways we got dates available give me a call 361 236 3397 Fishing Rockport Tx. It's been pretty good fishing. I can do wade trips, shared trips, private charters. You just hit me up and we'll make sure you get on the water!! #rockportfishingguide #rockporttx #mattsfishingadventures

Aransas Bay - Aransas, TX Fishing Report on 1st Nov, 2023

In the mix of trout fishing, this happened. Throwing a fat boy paid off with a new PB black drum. I've caught lots of drum on bait, but never would I suspect on a corky. Last drum I caught on a charter measured in at 47in, and it was caught in 2 feet of water on oyster with dead shrimp. This guy blew that big boy out of the water. The exact size is unknown, and the weight is also unknown. Everything happened so fast that I picked it up so fast to get a picture and off it swam. Hopefully, it swam strong and off to go terrorize more blue crab.
